My process follows my curiosity. I am fascinated by theories of color, the geometry of positive and negative shapes, repetition, pattern, fractals in nature, and a sense of place. I have a special interest in memory as a subject.
My work is an intuitive and emotional response from these influences.

Bio
Teri Banas is a local artist whose process is driven by curiosity and observation of detail. A prolific painter, Banas chooses the medium that best captures her response to color, geometry, patterns, or fractals transfixed by light. She draws inspiration from her collective experiences and allows her intuition to interact during the painting process. Her work is a response to the world around her, transposing complexity she creates her unique view of the landscape to capture a fleeting moment.
